The aim of Afrodata 2012 is to bring together scientists from Europe and Africa with an interest in chemometrics for environmental and life sciences. Topics to be covered during the conference need not to be restricted to only these to fields. Scientists working in process analytical technology, industrial applications and bio-chemometrics are also encouraged to present their work. Categories in which abstracts can be submitted include:

•  Chemometrics in environmental sciences

•  Chemometrics in energy and natural resources management

•  Metabolomics

•  Functional genomics

•  Systems biology

•  Biospectroscopy

•  Process analytical technology (PAT)

•  Quality measurement

•  Sensometrics

•  Hyperspectral imaging

•  Experimental design, sampling and validation

•  Computational statistics

•  Multiway analysis

•  Time-resolved analysis
